A winding country road will bring you to one of Puglia's most beautiful and dreamy places. A 17th-century mansion where everyday troubles can be postponed and everything is just perfect: from the casual, relaxed ambiance and the mature garden to the rustic-style rooms with lovely details. In this cozy hideaway, the hectic everyday life is far to seek and you instantly find yourself in an Italian heaven.
The property is situated near the scenic village of Polignano a Mare and is a great option to fully relax with your family or beloved one. You can swim and sunbathe by the pool, enjoy a massage in the garden, and participate in a relaxing yoga session. There are also numerous entertaining activities, such as Italian cooking lessons and a wonderful bike or horse riding tour in the surroundings.
The generous estate is charming and magnificent: everywhere you look you see and smell aromatic fruit trees, which depending on the season, allow you to taste sweet cherries, lemons, and olives. The trees offer pleasant shade if you want to rest in the garden with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and a favorite book.
A vacation at this one-of-a-kind property means absolute relaxation. Begin your day with a tasty homemade breakfast and a stroll on the estate. In the afternoon, you doze by the pool or let your creative mind run free during one of the interesting workshops organized, such as making candles from beeswax or making soap from olive oil.
The property has been lovingly restored for 8 years, and the owners made a great effort to keep original elements and take care of every detail. Gradually, to the already present and carefully renovated furniture, other pieces have been added, found around, and restored to their natural state or left with their authentic state because they looked already lovely as they were. For fabrics, they searched through trunks and among old linens, choosing natural threads such as cotton and raw linen, along with elegantly embroidered sheets.
During the restoration works, they tried not to touch the structure, to improve what already existed, and to transport those who chose this house back in time. That's why, as was traditional for ancient farmhouses, the floors are made of concrete, stone, or old wooden planks, and the windows have shutters, not curtains. Instead of the wardrobe, you will find an olive branch reminding you of the farmer's habit of hanging his jacket on a tree before starting work in the fields. Omnipresent is the vivid white of lime, softened by the neutral and subtle tones chosen for the fabrics. The decorations come from the garden, fields, or the beach of San Vito.
There is a living room with milk-white walls, a vaulted ceiling, and a large window overlooking the garden. This was once the pantry where olives, almonds, grains, and the “hanging cherry tomatoes” were kept. The 8 generously proportioned and beautifully designed bedrooms boast plenty of amenities to recharge your batteries: large beds with ultra-soft linen, superb toiletries, thick fluffy bathrobes, and amazing views that you wake up and go to bed with. The vacation here is delightful and especially laid-back!
Staying at this estate takes place in an original, Italian farmhouse. Each bedroom is a bit different but with the same details in the interior design: soft colors, natural materials such as wood and stone, traditional features here and there, and a touch of elegance.
The bedrooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Some benefit from a lounge area and views of the sea, pool, or garden. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The property offers luggage storage space, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking on site.
There is no better place in Puglia to unwind. At this picturesque spot in the middle of nature, you can do anything you like or dream of. Whether you spend a lazy afternoon relaxing on a sun lounger by the pool, hop on the farm's bicycles to explore the area, or book a yoga class or massage; you set the pace of your stay.
The property sits on a charming plot with olive and fruit trees. The house is situated near the coast and the lovely town of Polignano a Mare (15-minute drive). It is a dreamy and atmospheric town built on rugged cliffs. Don't forget to take your camera with you, because many picture-perfect locations are found here! For example, a fantastic view of the clear water of the Adriatic Sea or narrow ancient winding streets with white houses. The capital city Bari, with its historic center, is a 40-minute drive away.
Unexplored paths, generous vineyards, undulate landscapes, and 'the best of all': hardly a tourist in sight. Just a flat and sparsely populated area with some original cities and picturesque villages with whitewashed houses and the traditional trulli. The region of Puglia is perhaps Italy's best-kept secret. It's high time to discover it!
